Government Releases National BIM Strategy – The National BIM Initiative report authored by buildingSMART and co-funded by the Commonwealth Government’s Department of Industry, Innovation, Science Research and Tertiary Education (DIISRTE), specifies a strategy for the adoption of BIM. It is expected that the Government will mandate level 2 BIM on all its projects by July 2016. 

One of the Key points of the NBI report was that the building supply chain must get involved by digitising their components for inclusion in intelligent building models.
